German Continental Tire Electric Heating Project
Founded in 1871, Continental AG is the world's third largest tire manufacturer and Europe's largest auto parts supplier. It has more than 100 factories, R&D institutions and testing centers in 27 countries around the world and is a Fortune 500 company.
Continental Tire (Hefei) Co., Ltd. is the first tire factory invested by Continental in China, and it is also a key foreign investment project in Anhui Province. On January 8, 2021, Continental Tire invested about 2.22 billion yuan in the Hefei factory, covering an area of about 270 acres, to expand the first three phases of the PLT tire project and the two-wheel tire project. It is reported that this project is the first production base of Continental Tire in the Asia-Pacific region to introduce this technology and product line.

Continental tires, which have superior performance, have very strict requirements for the production and transportation process of raw materials, and their manufacturing plants have quite complete supporting facilities. Project Challenges
In this project, Anhui Huanrui's electric heating products are mainly used for antifreeze and insulation in the process of raw material storage tanks and pipeline transportation. It seems simple, but in fact, the temperature uniformity and project installation difficulty are high. After field investigation and design, Huanrui self-controlling temperature electric heating system and its accessories were used for installation.
Advantages of self-controlling temperature electric heating system
1. The core belt, transition layer and insulation layer are extruded at the same time, the structure is highly compact, there is no gap, no bulge, and the heating is uniform
2. The self-developed insulation layer has better weather resistance and temperature resistance, and the interface resistance between the core belt and the insulation layer is smaller, which reduces the starting current of the heating belt
3. Fluoroplastic outer sheath effectively copes with the corrosiveness of chemical raw materials
During the construction process, since the height of the storage tank is as high as tens of meters and the diameter is tens of meters, it is necessary to ensure that the electric heating wire is closely attached to the outer wall of the storage tank and to ensure the balance of the winding gap. In order to successfully complete the project, Anhui Huanrui's technical team conducted field investigations many times and dispatched engineering and technical personnel to the site to work with the installers to ensure that every installation detail is in place and the project is delivered smoothly.
